Regional Manager – Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam

Job Details

To lead the sales team including that of GSA, if applicable, and provide leadership on a strategic and commercial level with integrity and responsiveness.
To represent the Company’s interests in the area and create new methods / markets to increase sales effectiveness and productivity in the assigned Region.
To strategically develop and deliver revenue targets from designated region, maximising the return from existing market whilst identifying and penetrating business development opportunities.

Drive sales and revenue performance in designated countries through the implementation of a sales strategy to exceed the revenue targets.
Utilizes advanced selling techniques and account management / solution selling to optimise / maximise network share and revenue targets.
Create business plans to maximise most cost effective channels of fulfilment for sales.
Solicits new and existing business to meet and/or exceed revenue goals through a combination of field sales visits, email and telephone solicitation. (20-30 sales visits per week)
Follows up and closes on leads / business opportunities generated by sales visits
Builds and maintains strong relationships with partners in the airline industry.
Develop and implement regular call plans to maximise time spent in and out of the office based on strategic sales requirement for KFA
Responsible for completing any relevant administrative office based duties / assignment whilst managing field based sales activities visibly and efficiently

Achieving / exceeding Assigned Revenue targets for the Region. Recommend the annual revenue budget and sales strategy of the region and implementation.
Prepares an account development plan to achieve short and long term mutual benefits for KFA and TMC / corporate / trade partners.
Manages sales activity through development and performance measurement of account portfolio; managing against clear revenue, cost of sale and compliance criteria in association with HR, Finance & Admin and line manager
Develops and maintains long-term strategic relationships with KFA TMC / corporate clients
Regular Review with Sales team to drive revenue.
Manages and co-ordinates projects and initiatives on behalf of KFA Sales.
Enforces and maintains sales professionalism standards and integrity
Communicate internally the performance of all sales channels on a regular basis at sales meetings
Engage with marketing team to develop appropriate market communications activity including but not limited to – sponsorships, exhibitions, advertising
Engage with pricing manager to implement appropriate fares in to the market and implement a profitable and equitable distribution strategy
Regularly communicates with Global Sales / Direct sales at HQ
Responsible for departmental cost control in the areas of travel and representation – suggest cost saving measures as appropriate
Build credibility and personal authority as part of Sales management team
Performs other related functions, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Submit sales call plan and post sales reports in a timely manner in line with line manager requirements
Ensure submission of all expense statements in line with the company policies
Manages individual expenditure budget.
Provides regular market intelligence and feedback from customers, competitors, GSA, corporate and trade partners
Represents KFA at trade events, promotions and sales functions, including supporting educational.


Educational Qualifications:
Graduate or post graduate preferably with business management degree in sales or Marketing from any premier institute.
PC literate with knowledge of word/power point/excel

Commercial acumen. Able to spot and interpret market trends
Customer facing experience
Experience in negotiating contracts
Good understanding of KFA systems or any other GDS systems and interpretation of available data
8-10 years experience in travel trade, airline sales and marketing preferably with any international carrier and as a overseas posting/assignment.
