Main purpose of the job
The core mission of the China Connect service line is to extend Nokia's way of connecting people in new and better ways. This team will connect people to their consumer email, IM and social networks, and keep their contacts aware of their presence, digital status and content.

The Market Development Manger will evangelize Nokia's consumer messaging services and drive regional cluster market development actives to:
• Ensure the service meets China market needs
• Support cluster teams: GTM,technical integration and sales units with new business opportunities and preloads
• Build partner relationships with identified Internet partners in China
The role requires leadership and command across functional project team(s) to ensure success and alignment of Messaging services readiness with development and GTM processes. Participation in marketing planning and other key activities are required to ensure the successful delivery of new messaging solutions to the market.
The role will have an immediate impact on the success of Nokia's messaging services and on continued collaboration with our Internet partners. Clear, timely communication, and real time responsiveness which will result in compatible solutions and new business opportunities, is an important requirement.
Key task areas (not in order of importance)
- Serve as primary contact and a market expert for identified Connect partners
- Asses and document competitive landscape including market size and scope, potential ISP partners, and assist in understanding partner forecasts, identify legal issues and draft localization requirements for Nokia messaging services
- Hold regular meetings with internal stakeholders. Lead discussions, define and scope use case processes for Connect products and messaging services
- Serve as a go-to resource for Connect service internally with the objective of improving GTM and Marketing channels knowledge of messaging products and value propositions
- Champion cluster specific product requirements into the service
- Conduct weekly program status meetings with cross functional team: GTM, Program Management, Category managers
- Support sales actives with operators serving as product expert
- Coordinate roadmap updates into clusters and to operators
- Work with product marketing to define required marketing materials including data sheets, presentations, dedicated partner web pages, etc.
