The Critical Operations Relationship Manager is Nokia Workplace Resources' (WR) primary owner for strategy development related to manufacturing and data center sites. This position is responsible for in depth understanding of business drivers and challenges related to these facilities, and opportunities for WR to impact the business's performance. After gathering information on drivers and requirements, works together with WR colleagues and collaborators to develop a strategy to meet these needs. This person also sets performance criteria along with the business, and reports back to the Manufacturing and Data Center teams periodically on achievement of these targets.

The Critical Operations Relationship Manager's primary responsibility is to develop WR's ability to proactively and strategically provide value to Nokia through manufacturing and data center site strategy and operations. This is a global role and significant emphasis will be placed on the candidate's ability to establish effective relationships both inside WR with Manufacturing site personnel and with Nokia DSNM, IT, and Services personnel to achieve WR's vision of enhancing business value.

Key Tasks:
Establishes a structure for ongoing engagement with both the DSNM/Manufacturing business and the Data Center teams in IT and Services
Continuous (quarterly or as defined with stakeholders) reporting of outcomes and status
Sets strategic direction and operational priorities on behalf of WR and the Manufacturing and Data Center teams
Ongoing cooperation and dialogue with Manufacturing and Data Center strategy teams through agreed reporting and governance structure, including reporting on progress on agreed actions
Manufacturing location strategy co-development with DSNM leadership, with regard to production capacity planning, supply chain, workforce opportunities, economic conditions, and future needs
Data Center location/site strategy co-development with the Data Center team, with regard to capacity planning, infrastructure, economic climate, security, and future needs
Understand and develop WR location solutions framework around agreed current location scenarios
Close cooperation and co-development of physical plant and services solutions with technical engineering experts, soft services experts, factory managers, and data center managers
Determine ongoing operations and execution support resource needs for all identified actions
Steers the virtual team of WR Manufacturing Managers (who report directly into Regions and dotted line into this role) and the WR Engineering Practice professionals, building their knowledge sharing capability and identity as a community of practice
Maintains ongoing discussions with IT and Services Data Center team(s)
Owns and guides program work related to energy savings in Manufacturing locations, including setting targets and action plans for achievement and reporting on performance
Oversees the development of solutions to monitor and manage risks in manufacturing locations (Nokia Blue, etc.) and continuous reporting back to business stakeholders on performance
Establishes common processes, practices, and targets for manufacturing site performance


To be successful in this role, you have the following skills:
Customer relationship management skills and experience
Knowledge of WR's core business (corporate real estate) and strategy
Excellent negotiation skills, willingness to challenge norms and behaviors in order to find the right decisions
Insightful, curious, observant, able to discern patterns from "weak signals"
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, puts people at ease and builds trust
Strong financial/business understanding and acumen in order to speak the language of the business and report on performance in ways that are meaningful
BA/BS minimum, advanced degree preferred
Minimum seven years experience in a related field - real estate portfolio strategy, manufacturing operations, business development, supply chain, customer relationship management
Accountable for balancing the needs of the business stakeholders with WR's fiduciary responsibility to Nokia. Autonomy to develop innovative approaches to meet both needs effectively. Expected to creatively challenge any assumptions in the interest of finding the right solution. Significant problem solving required, involving extensive discussions and negotiations, research and creative thought. Develops and applies new, innovative approaches to complex or infrequently occurring problems. Ensures immediate working environment encourages innovation.
