NESPRESSO seeks an experience Assistant Café Manager for our New York Location.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the operations of the Café in support of the Café Manager to guarantee smooth daily running of the Café and achievement of NESPRESSO business goals; ensure that the Café plays a role of converting café customers into NESPRESSO Club members; direct a team of hostess, servers, and other employees; support special events; and ensure every customer/club member receives extraordinary customer service.

Main Responsibilities:
' Proactively manage and deal with employee- customer interactions and complaints positively and effectively
' Achieve daily, weekly, monthly sales and service level targets
' Maximize guest frequency, average check and acquisition of new club members
' Ensure that each and every customer (existing and potential) is served in the highest customer service
' In absence of or in collaboration with the Manager, lead the team by example in servicing and selling to our customers all aspects of the Nespresso System.
' Ensure an efficient deployment of resources in each shift/daily. Optimize the deployment/utilization of our resources according to the peaks and lows of our operations
' Manage financial transactions
' Run monthly/quarterly physical stocks inventories, place weekly orders define optimal delivery plan (frequency/cost/product availability/surface) and check deliveries to ensure a continually adequate stock level.

Requirements:

Education : College degree required, Food and Health Certification required

Experience
' 2-4 years Café/ Restaurant/Retail/Barista experience required
' 2-3 years strong experience in managing people/teams
' Knowledge of coffee and fine dining preferred
' Excellent Customer Service, Presentation, Communication & Interpersonal Skills
' Knowledge of Planning, organizing and controlling of Café operations

Languages:
Fluency in local languages and English is required

This job will require working weekends, holidays and late shifts.
