Job description
In a team of computer experts, your mission is to provide advanced technical support of Oracle technologies in performance testing to help our European customers and our sales force in the selection and definition of IT infrastructure solutions based on Oracle and IBM. You You bring your technical skills and your technical expertise to deploy solutions and software products Oracle environment performance tests on IBM infrastrcutures to help sales forces to respond to European calls for tenders. You will work to support and to the optimization of the kernel of the Oracle database on IBM Power platform for the Benchmark Center in Montpellier You ideally expertise tuning / performance of the Oracle database (core 11g, RAC, ASM) and installation / configuration of Oracle RAC, ASM, and tuning tools, and performance monitoring of Oracle (DB Console, Grid Control, AWReports, ...).

You will need the support of the installations and configurations of Oracle solutions IBM POWER experts from the center of benchmark (themselves already being trained on the core Oracle 11g). You should also bring your technical support around the core Oracle technologies and Oracle Grid Infrastructure (CRS, RAC and ASM) experts POWER central benchmark in the process of engagement (Benchmark qualification applications) providing an understanding of Oracle technologies to the solution to be tested
- Validation Technique requests arriving at the center of benchmark
- Participation in technical meetings and conference calls - Writing Technical reports for the key phases of Benchmark support you in average 1 to 3 tests of performance in parallel.
- Support monitoring tools for Oracle Expert Power Center Benchmark
- Validation and determination of problems with installation when required
- Performance diagnostic / audit-Kernel, SQL - level 2
- Performance analysis and problem solving (CWA, trace, fix, support, ...) computer engineer by training, ideally you have worked at least 4 years of Oracle DB and its ecosystem you have a good knowledge of the core Oracle and portfolio of technology products Oracle (Oracle DB, CRS, ASM, RAC, Dataguard), Oracle DB Performance troubleshooting expertise. No knowledge of the IBM Power Technology (AIX, Linux and virtualization features) would be an advantage In a multicultural team, you demonstrate leadership technique, you have some talent in communication, analytical skills and an ability to implementation that enable you to respond and adapt quickly to complex technology projects. The international context in which you work requires an excellent command of English. Although the main profile of the position is primarily technique you will be asked to also have a business vision / sales projects. You will be able to work in complex environments, including various corporate and technical components, mostly involving the client, IBM and Oracle potentially society, and partners of both companies You will master the context of our business and develop cleints an ability to advise.
