Responsibilities:
· Collect and analyze customer information both financial and commercial and provide credit (re) assessments of assigned customers
· Assign Credit Risk categories and credit limits on the basis of customer requirements and in accordance with Credit Manual
· Re-assess credit-worthiness of customers based on re-evaluation triggers and timelines
· Engage with Sales on possible risk mitigating options, including reduction of credit terms, increasing securities
· Monitor expiry of securities and update/maintain security register
· Ensure all approvals are documented in accordance with control requirements
· Liaise with Sales and Credit Teams to ensure GSAP is updated when Credit Limits and Ratings change
· Conduct customer visits with Sales when required
· Follow up with Sales and escalate delinquent accounts to management for stop / continue trade decision
· Intervene in case of delinquent debt and drive actions with Sales and Legal to protect Shell’s interest
· Calculate repayment plans for customers who cannot meet payment due dates
· Review aged debt to identify possible provisions and recommend accordingly
· Communicate approved provisions and write-offs to the business and posting roles and verify posting
· Act as liaison with Legal on delinquent accounts
· Act as representative of Shell in creditors meetings and manage legal relationships related to failed accounts
· Deliver periodic training to Sales staff on Credit Manual, processes, tools and controls
· Run Operational Credit Committees as required by Credit Manual and act as Secretary of meeting
· Support the setting and monitoring of credit performance targets for Sales and the Region
· Understand performance on specific business accounts under area of responsibility
· Support controls and compliance work and support controls walkthroughs
· Keep up-to-date with industry news and market trends, looking for information that may adversely impact portfolio


Requirements:
· At least 4 years of experience in Credit management
· Experience in conducting detailed financial ratio and financial performance analysis
· Experience in analyzing creditworthiness and credit risk
· Knowledge in Excel and other MS office based packages
· Experience in using key credit functionality in (G-) SAP
· Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
