· To provide technical support to all plant changes & projects and the Plant Electrical Engineers & E&I Workshop engineers
· To maintain the Plant electrical distribution networks as well as to manage electrical matters for the Co-generation units
· Ensure compliance to HSE standards and DEP requirements in Shell Jurong Island plants as a safe place to work in
· Act as focal point with PowerGrid on all electrical matters affecting Shell Jurong Island (SJI)
· Take charge of the electrical distribution system
· Plan and execute maintenance activities
· Manage electrical matters of the Cogeneration units
· Estimate, design, plan & execute electrical infrastructure project. Provide project assurance for all electrical plant changes
· Provide professional advice to Electrical Engineers on solving of difficult problems and repair of complex equipment
· Conduct Root Cause Analysis on major failures
· Manage electrical contractors (in-house & external)
· Train operators and own staff in electrical safety and operation of electrical switchgears and control gears
· Develop and maintain electrical procedure and participate in the electrical bench marking
· Plan and execute infrastructure maintenance during TurnArounds
· Design and decide on effective methods of solving electrical problems or tackling difficult electrical issues
· Decide on the setting and co-ordination of the electrical protection system
· Decide on the optimum electrical maintenance program for all electrical distribution equipment
· Electrical design, material of construction and method of the execution for all plant changes
· Decide on the most suitable/cost effective way for managing the daily electrical work
· Decide on the most suitable electrical training material for other staff

· Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent
· Registered Professional Engineer (Electrical)
· Successfully completed the SPPG HV Operation Course
· Minimum 8 years hands-on experience in Electrical Engineering and project work.
· Possess in-depth knowledge and proven experience in the maintenance and operations of High Voltage Distribution (66kV, 22kV, 11kV & 6.6kV)
