Job description
The employee in this role is responsible for the execution of the WW WebSphere on System z marketing strategy, ensuring the delivery of clear messaging and content to external and internal audiences to meet revenue and profit goals.

Key responsibilities include:

Evaluation of market analysis and insights to drive sales and marketing actions
Development of critical insights and prioritization of potential targets of opportunity by utilizing thorough understanding of the marketplace
Development of high level product/solution value propositions and marketing program positioning

Development of assets and offers for sales, marketing, and enablement to use for lead and revenue generation

Collaboration with marketing programs to drive the annual calendar of activity for attainment of lead generation and revenue plans
Collaboration with sales channels to ensure the relevance, applicability and success of solution value propositions and supporting assets

Acting as a key evangelist for WebSphere on System z middleware with a deep familiarity of key customer engagements including technology used and results attained. This may include but is not limited to customer-facing presentations and demonstrations
Working closely with fellow Market Managers and Senior Market Managers to ensure intra-department transparency, active outward communication of activity, and constant alignment to the business requirements

Applicants should possess and have tangible evidence of strong leadership qualities, teamwork skills, project management ability, and superior communication skills. Ideal applicants will have some experience in the technology industry and business-to-business sales. Those selected for interviews should demonstrate knowledge of IBM's standing in the industry, as well as creative marketing skills, and a desire to work for the success of our customers
