The Treasury Assistant is responsible for Cash Applications, Customer Management, and other Treasury tasks.

Cash application:
Applies cheque and wire payments (manual & A/C)
Offsets & write-offs requested by AR dept
Create A/C file in excel format
Follow up on bounced cheques
Follow up on post-dated cheques and deposits
Credit card payment application
Employee sale refund
Regularly print bank statements
A/R Refund for all customers if necessary
Apply other A/R as misc. receipts

Credit – Customer Management:
Review and process credit applications
Set up customer registrations
Manage customer modifications (ex. payment terms)
Conduct credit checks
Execute credit holds and release orders as necessary
Ship to code and provide delivery time for each ship to code
Worksheet posting for Accounts Receivable
Process Accounts Receivable refunds
Annual credit assessment

Post secondary education
Strong verbal/written communication skills
Knowledge of finance and accounting
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
Maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task with various competing priorities
