Senior System Architect

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the design, architecture, and implementation of PRPC based solutions. Accountable for ensuring the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution by the Team matches customer requirements and is of high quality.

Key Result Areas:
Provide high quality consulting services on all project assignments by actively participating in the requirements gathering, design and build phases.
Assist with planning and execution of unit, integration and user acceptance testing.
Have an advanced understanding of the main features of PRPC; their features and limitations.

Assist in the identification of enhancements to the core base product.
Provide regular updates to Management on project progress and outstanding issues.
Complete work in time / effort budget. Provide proactive update to the Management if timelines or effort estimate are in jeopardy.

Customer Success (realization of business benefit)
Facilitate knowledge sharing of PRPC and application functionality
Other responsibilities and key result areas will be assigned as required

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Level of Education/Experience: BS with 5 years of experience, or Masters Degree with 2 years of experience (Computer Science or Computer Engineering). Year of experience should be in a systems developer or architect role, providing:
Experience in analysis, design, development, and application deployment of large scale Java centric enterprise application systems.
Experience in J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java), Oracle and/or DB2 and MS/SQL
Experience in Tomcat, Websphere or Weblogic Application Server
Experience building Financial applications
Strong OO experience
PRPC Certification (within 3 months of joining Pega)

Travel Requirements:
Minimal, infrequent travel
