The Role

Reporting to the Head of Distribution, this role is to manage and develop the relationship with one of Nokia's most important distribution accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of detailed account management plans whilst playing an important role in developing the strategic direction for this high profile account.

The role provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to make in instant / high profile impression within the Nokia organisation by continuing to develop this account and drive Nokia's market share. The role requires management of a virtual team from across the Nokia UK business (marketing, logistics etc)

Key responsibilities of the role include:-

Development and execution of detailed account sales plans - owning the direct relationship with the account buyers and account commercial team
Business development and account management within the distribution channel to independent retailers, online retailers and B2B telecom dealers
Shaping, planning and execution of strategy to drive growth in Nokia's handset and services revenues

Protection and growth of net sales of devices and services in addition to gaining market share
Leadership and motivation of virtual team
Sell-in / sell out of devices and services, commercial negotiation (volume / value deals etc.), launching and managing lifecycle of devices and services
Develop and implement tactical and strategic trading decisions in reaction to marketing conditions / trends to defend and drive market share.
Development of deep understanding and knowledge of the account landscape, market trends and competitor positioning,
Manage / work with virtual team (logistics, product management, marketing, care, F&C); with responsibility for the commercial relationship with the distributor

Qualifications

Skills/Experience/Attributes

An exceptional individual with a proven track record of sales success.
Proven ability and skill set in value based selling demonstrated by an awareness and understanding of how to sell and negotiate complex solutions and scenarios.
A strategic, analytical thinker; must be able to assimilate and analyse key information sources as a basis for setting strategic direction
Well developed leadership skills and an aptitude for managing indirect reports
Will have excellent planning and execution skills and demonstrable track record of delivering results through effective team leadership

Proven networking skills that will see success in a highly complex, matrix lead organisation

Must possess an extremely high work ethic and be resilient to a highly pressurised sales environment
Proven ability to increase revenue and market share
Excellent commercial operator and expert negotiator.

An in-depth appreciation of retail, online and B2B markets
Articulate, polished, persuasive, excellent presentation and communication skills.
Degree level education preferable
