Direct Sales & Groups Agent – Full time Maternity Cover up to 12 months

Job Purpose
You will be responsible to maintain, service and account manage both “Direct accounts” and “Groups”, optimising all guests interactions and opportunities to convert into sales outcomes and maximise revenues. To efficiently handle all telephone enquiries, maintain excellent sales results and customer service whilst ensuring correct implementation of EY policies and procedures. Handling UK interline/staff travel.

Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

Handle direct bookings identifying and pursuing potential opportunities to exceed revenue targets
Keep up-to-date with Etihad product, services, policy and procedures. Liaise with Head Office Medical department and handle all medical cases from the UK.
Maintain client records on, process waivers and favours such as upgrade.
Handle Groups inquiries and bookings recognising potential business opportunities to exceed revenue targets.
Prepare, update and maintain weekly revenue reports
Provide excellent customer service with a ‘can do’ attitude and maintain effective working relationship internally and externally
Custodian of staff travel database
Responsible for balancing individual sales reports and incorporation of all sales reports
Account manage all direct relationships

Educated to High School or higher. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral English, computer and GDS competency. Motivated self-starter with a penchant for sales

You are required to have the following:

Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably with an airline in a sales/groups services environment.
GDS knowledge, Fares and Ticketing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High computer literacy – MS office package…Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Office based, the role will operate within a pressured environment and working out of office hours to meet the job requirement may be necessary. Quick response times to clients are of key importance, meeting internal deadlines is paramount. A flexible approach is needed, good listening skills and an ability to prioritise is equally important
