Job description
This role is responsible for all recruiting and staffing programs and activities related to the attraction, selection, hiring and on-boarding of talent into IBM as well as partnering with IBM managers to help build a workforce with those critical skills needed to move the business forward. This role can also be responsible for ensuring talent processes comply with appropriate business controls or initiating/maintaining immigration statuses. Individuals in this role may also be a team lead, providing work direction, guiding employees on various processes and acting as a point of escalation for team members.

The Strategy & Transformation (S&T) Lead Recruiting Program Manager would be the hiring focal point for consulting professionals representing various service and sector areas within Global Business Services for the S&T service line. The RPM would manage candidates through the interview process, serving as a front end to the hiring executives. Key to this position is the ability to sell and close experienced professional level consulting applicants. Key job elements include ongoing candidate qualification, facilitating the interview process, organizing and hosting recruiting events.

S&T Lead RPM role (RPM job role description below) -- responsibilities:
Contribute to identifying and securing best available talent, with an eye toward increasing the applicant quality across the entire recruiting cycle, and ultimately gain acceptances from applicants of offers in my designated area(s).

Deliver a seamless applicant experience throughout the entire GBS recruiting process to establish trust and responsibility in all relationships that promotes the culture and brand of IBM in not only the marketplace but within internal organizations.
Promote recognition of IBM GBS as premier employer of choice in the marketplace, as well as with channel partners (e.g., agencies, social networks, associations, etc.).
Earn high levels of satisfaction from the GBS hiring organization(s) supported and the applicants who complete the interview process.
Optimize volume of hires in accordance with business needs.
Maximize individual RPM acceptance rate.
Contribute to maximizing yields for that recruiting team.
Contribute to reducing the time to fill hiring needs, particularly when filling Fast Response needs, such as open seats in strategic initiative areas, etc.
Facilitate the evaluation of internal transfer applicants, particularly resource action or redeployment applicants, as the first option to fill GBS hiring needs. *Meet committed turnaround targets for internal applicants.
Track and document applicant progress in the interview process via the Candidate Management Database and Global Opportunity Management tools, in accordance with usability standards set by the Recruiting Team management.
Facilitate face-to-face interviews at a pace consistent with the hiring needs of designated area(s) while taking all appropriate actions to minimize applicant travel expenses.
Gain a better understanding of GBS skill sets and Market Valued Skills in demand.
Demonstrate good faith efforts to recruit and hire a diverse workforce.
Maximize Employee Referral Bonus Program (ERBP) as a sourcing channel of new applicants.
Be mindful of the costs being spent to support continued focus on a variable cost structure and minimizing cost per hire.
