Job Overview:

The Senior System Architect (SSA) is responsible for providing high quality consulting services on all project assignments and work within a project team to ensure that the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches customer requirements. The role is a critical touch point for our customer's success and ultimately for Pegasystems overall success. You will articulate vision and architecture to client executives while still being hands on enough to make BPM "Build for Change" a reality. This position requires both a Do'er and Thinker mentality. A specialisation in either a target vertical industry or functional area (e.g., CRM, deployment, etc.) is beneficial.


Key Result Areas:
Develop high quality deliverables across all project phases (Scope through UAT support).
Ensures delivered work products meet and perform to technical and functional requirements.
Complete work in time / effort budget. Provide proactive update to Engagement Leader if timelines or effort estimate are in jeopardy.
Provides regular updates to Engagement Leader on project progress and outstanding issues.
Lead a sub set of a team and mentor / QA the work of less experienced team members.

Minimum Level of Education:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering

Type of Experience:

Proven experience in analysis, design, development, and application deployment of large scale Java centric enterprise application systems.
Experience in J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java), Oracle and/or DB2 and MS/SQL
Experience in Websphere or Weblogic Application Server
Strong OO experience
Industry domain expertise (optional)
PRPC Certification (within 3 months of joining Pega)

100% on customer site
