Position Description

The Manager, Redken Global Marketing- Haircare will lead in the development of global business/brand strategies for new product introductions in haircare. Assist in developing new product strategies, including the positioning, formulation, packaging, pricing, and advertising. Identify consumer, salon, and technological trends globally. Interface with key salon/stylists and organizations for understanding of market trends and activity on relevant brand issues. Generate ideas and concepts for products, which are innovative and revolutionary to the professional salon industry on a global level. Assist in the development and achievement of the annual 3-year brand plans. Ensure accurate forecasting of the brand/business. Interface with R&D and package development & design on all new product development. Conduct extensive market research at the Global level including focus groups, survey design and administration and competitive analysis. Prepare and deliver both oral and written presentations representing Matrix Global Marketing initiatives.

Essential Functions:
• Responsible for the ownership of the growth and development of the brand with full P&L responsibility.
• Identify and implement business initiatives to accomplish brand goals.
• Interface with key salon / stylists and organizations for understanding of market trends and activity on relevant brand issues.
• Lead in development of business / brand strategies for new product introductions, promotions, communications and inventory management.
• Design and execute clear brand building plans in line with the objectives of the division, including 3 year marketing plan, new product launches, promotions and communication strategy
• Lead projects from initial concept to implementation, and coordinate the teamwork between the different departments involved
• Conduct marketing research, follow up on campaigns and launches, provide Senior Management team with regular quantitative and qualitative reports

Specific Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Marketing or related field required, MBA a plus
• 4 - 6 years brand management, experience in the haircare or beauty industry is preferred. Salon industry experience a plus.
• Dynamic and proactive personality with the ability to perform impactful presentations
• Solid analytic abilities. Proven expertise in problem solving and multiple project management.
• Proven leadership skills, proactive ideas, and effective influencing skills using cross-functional, cross-cultural, cross-industry and other inspirations.
• Strong affinity to the salon industry; ability to relate and build relationships with hairdressers.
• Fluency in another language (French, Spanish) a plus.
• Dynamic and fashion-forward
• Ability to travel as required.
