We are seeking a Treasury Analyst to join our Finance Treasury Operations: Risk & Forecasting team in London, UK.

The team consists of 5 analysts covering a broad range of liquidity management, business sector reporting, Long/Short Term forecasting and investment risk analysis activities, led by the Risk & Forecasting Manager. This position occasionally deputises for the Risk and Forecasting Manager.

This is an ideal role to obtain a high-level understanding of Shell’s cash generation and consumption dynamics, understanding key business drivers in Upstream and Downstream sectors, while being a valued member of one of the world’s largest global corporate Treasury organisations.

A successful candidate will gain exposure to cash management, business planning, financial modeling, scenario analysis and have regular opportunities to demonstrate their professionalism and ability at the highest levels in Finance.


Responsibilities:
The analyst is responsible for the long-term Group cash and debt outlook using the latest top-down modelling. The forecast provides critical information for strategic planning of central cash and borrowing levels. The output is used by the Front Office and Capital Markets Team.

The main duties include but are not restricted to the following:
Manage the Treasury message on cash with key stakeholders.
Understand the complexity of the forecasting operation and implement continuous improvement where appropriate.

Liaise with a diverse network of stakeholders and information providers including Front Office and all other Treasury departments, group reporting, group planning, corporate controllers, business planning and appraisal teams, and Shell Business Service Centres.

Interpret and accurately manipulate diverse forecast data and understand the interdependencies within the data.
Planning and organisational skills to coordinate the monthly forecast and reporting cycle.

Requirements:
You will be qualified or studying towards a professional finance qualification (eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and have experience in treasury, or a background in Business planning/appraisal is an advantage. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with group reporting processes and/or a knowledge of treasury accounting would also be an advantage. And also demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills and have an excellent understanding of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
