We’re currently looking for a Operations & Maintenance Team Lead to join our team in Great Yarmouth for our ONEGas locations.

Shell has been finding and producing oil and gas for over a century.

Our Upstream International business searches for and recovers oil and natural gas across the world, except the Americas. This spans from exploration activities to the commercial delivery of major upstream projects and to production. Many of these activities are carried out as joint venture partnerships, often with national oil companies. The business also liquefies gas and is active in gas to liquids technology. Today, we have interests in Upstream activities in more than 39 countries and employ around 17,000 people.

ONEgas is one of the larger and technically/commercially complex assets in Shell European Upstream operation. The asset portfolio comprises the full range of lifecycle stages, from exploration activities of greenfield and brownfield projects to abandonment activities.

The operated asset geographically covers the Southern North Sea in NL and UK, with a number of pipeline systems either connecting to the Bacton gas plant in the UK or the Den Helder gas plant in the NL.

ONEgas is a key supplier to the UK and NL gas markets. Key dimensions for the ONEgas asset (100%) in 2010: 90 producing fields; 56 offshore installations, 2 gas plants, 300+ producing wells; 8 production systems; 15 sales contracts; 550 Shell staff working shoulder to shoulder with several hundred contractor staff.

Asset Organisation:
The Asset leadership team, the staff working in the development disciplines and some of the operational, maintenance engineering and finance staff reside in Assen,The Netherlands.

The assets field operations are subdivided in six cluster teams each looking after a geographical area. The field operations are managed from offices in Great Yarmouth and Den Helder. The Cluster Teams consists of Shell and contactor staff who together form one integrated team accountable for the safe and efficient delivery of all activities in the field. Each Cluster Team is managed by the Cluster Team Leader (CTL) / Operations & Maintenance Team Lead.

You will be the CTL / Operations & Maintenance Team Lead for the Greater Sole Pit Area (Clipper, Skiff, Galleon, Barque, Carrack and Cutter).

The CTL / Operations & Maintenance Team Lead has full bottom-line accountability for field operations in the Greater Sole Pit area. This includes HS&E, Production, Maintenance delivery and Modifications.

Accountabilites also include but are not limited to…

. Ensure Safe Production for all operated installations within the Greater Sole Pit asset area

. Operate the Greater Sole Pit Installations within the approved operating envelope and integrity framework

. Monitor and maintain technical integrity in the asset, jointly with the E&M (facilities) and Development Leaders (wells)

. Should own and manage the annual Operations and E&M delivery budgets

. Plan, prepare and execute all maintenance and operations tasks and minor modifications

. Plan, manage and execute all shutdowns

. Ensure all engineering projects are fully commissioned

. Monitor, maintain and/or improve equipment reliability in the asset, jointly with the Operations and Engineering & Maintenance Lead

. Initiate, develop and implement Operations performance improvements as part of Operations Excellence and Field Operations Integrity Project

. Ensure compliance with company standards and processes

. Ensure coordination and co-operation and alignment with other clusters

. Provide line management for all Shell Cluster staff

You should preferably have a degree in engineering or equivalent with an extensive experience in Oil & Gas field operations such as maintenance, projects or operational experience would be an advantage.
